Will I come early on the first day?
No. We'll see you there at 10:00hrs on the first day and every day!
What happens if it rains?
If it rains, we do our utmost to try to keep activities on track. Depending on the severity, the camp will either continue (particularly if the rain isn’t that heavy and starts in the afternoon) or may have to be called off. At venues where there are adequate indoor facilities, kids will be kept occupied with games and quizzes until home time. Please note, that due to the general lack of indoor football facilities at clubs around the country it is generally not possible to move football activities indoors. If the head coach deems it necessary, you may be contacted and asked to collect your child early. It’s rare that this happens, but in Ireland you can never rely on the weather!
I’ve a tendency to be late – can my child head home on his/her own?
All FAI Aviva Soccer Sisters have a specified start and finish time. It is your responsibility to ensure that your child is collected at the designated finish time or that arrangements are in place to allow him/her to travel home independently. Failure to do so leaves our coaches in a highly vulnerable position and may result in you being required to end your child’s participation on his/her camp.
Please note – only children whose parents have indicated during the application process are allowed to travel independently will be allowed to leave camps unsupervised. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of child safety and welfare across all of our camps and we appreciate your cooperation in our continuing ability to do this.
